Lakeside donate furniture to help communities across the world

The Lakeside team recently visited URBOND alongside Councillor Chris Attwell and the team from Portico Logistics to see first-hand the impact that collaboration can have.

What started as a conversation between Lakeside and URBOND about promoting their Cultural Festival to occupiers on site soon led to discussions about how surplus furniture on campus could be put to good use.

Our team were delighted to donate a significant amount of furniture, much of which is being used locally by URBOND to support community projects, while some is being shipped to their school in West Guinea alongside solar panels and other essential resources.

Following our donations, one of our occupiers was inspired to donate additional furniture, which will also be used locally through URBOND’s work in the local community.

Lakeside would also like to give a huge thank you to Portico for all their hard work in making the logistics possible. It’s incredible to think that the shipping container itself will go on to become part of the school’s infrastructure once it arrives.

It’s a brilliant example of how charities, businesses and local communities can come together and create a lasting impact. What started as a simple conversation has grown into support that will benefit people both here in Portsmouth and overseas.

It was a real pleasure to have been invited to URBOND’s offices, learn more about the inspiring work they do, and see first-hand the difference that everyone’s generosity and hard work is making.

Unique Breakout and Meeting Spaces

Special Meeting Spaces

Not every great meeting happens in a meeting room

At Lakeside North Harbour, we believe that the environment around us plays an important role in how we connect, collaborate and create. That’s why we’ve developed a range of unique breakout and meeting spaces across campus, giving occupiers the flexibility to work in ways that suit them best.

Whether you’re holding an informal catch-up, meeting with clients, brainstorming a new idea or simply looking for a change of scenery, there are plenty of inspiring spaces both inside and outside to choose from.

From our newest meeting booths and the perfectly located Hyve pod on the lake, to the peaceful Winter Garden area, Business Lounge and our iconic beach huts, each space offers something a little different.

The best workplaces provide more than desks and meeting rooms. They offer spaces that inspire creativity, encourage collaboration and give people the flexibility to work in the way that suits them best.

At Lakeside, our diverse range of breakout spaces helps create an environment where ideas can flourish, conversations can happen naturally and connections can thrive. These spaces have been designed to encourage collaboration, spark creativity and support wellbeing by providing alternatives to the traditional office setting. They give people the freedom to step away from their desks, connect with colleagues and make the most of Lakeside’s unique campus environment.

Creating places where people can work, connect and share ideas is at the heart of the Lakeside experience. By offering a variety of flexible, welcoming spaces, we’re helping businesses and their teams thrive while enjoying everything our campus has to offer.
