Welcome to Lakeside, Smooth Accounting!

Lakeside North Harbour, the place for business on the South Coast, continues to buck the national trend in office lettings, securing its second deal in as many months.

Portsmouth’s Smooth Accounting, an award-winning modern accountancy firm, becomes the campus’ first accountancy practice, taking two suites in Lakeside’s Building 1000. The deal supports significant strategic growth plans for the business, and will serve as the company’s second regional office, joining national corporates and regional businesses, including Babcock, Wiggle, Coffin Mew and Carrington West.

Jeri Williams, Founder of Smooth Accounting, commented on the move, “We saw an opportunity to boost our regional presence with an office in Portsmouth, and with the amenities, networking and growth opportunities available, Lakeside ticked all of the boxes for us.”

“We are looking ahead to strategic growth opportunities, with both our team and clients, and see our move to Lakeside as a major milestone for the business.”

Simon Bateman, Lakeside North Harbour Asset Manager, added, “Lakeside offers an unrivalled occupier experience, from a connected community boasting collaboration opportunities, to an extensive environment and wellbeing initiatives.”

“The beauty of Lakeside is that our campus provides a unique opportunity to support the growth of businesses, and we’re delighted to welcome Jeri and the team at Smooth Accounting to Lakeside as the business goes from strength to strength. We know that our community will join us in welcoming the team!”

Vail Williams acted on behalf of Lakeside North Harbour to secure the deal.

Russell Mogridge, Lead Partner of Vail Williams’ Business Space Agency team, commented, “The recent additions to the Lakeside community further cement its position as the premier Business Park in the South. With impressive amenities and a safe working environment, Lakeside is the clear choice for businesses looking to relocate.”
