Why Lakeside?
We have been based at Lakeside for ten years. We started as a small team and currently have 100 members of staff based at on site, with room to continue to grow.
Carrington West’s founders wanted to offer employees what they would want for themselves – beautiful surroundings, the convenience of high-quality on-site facilities, good transport and commuting links and free parking – and Lakeside perfectly suited our needs and company philosophy of looking after our staff.
We believe the quality and atmosphere of our office space is crucial for wellbeing and good physical and mental health. At Lakeside, we are surrounded by an abundance of green space and pockets of rugged woodland, and the lake is only a stone’s throw away. We encourage staff to hold meetings around the lake, and to step away from the desk to spend time outside in nature.
Lakeside is a friendly, collaborative business environment and we have had the opportunity to work with other businesses located at the premises. We have worked with previous occupiers Giant Leap for corporate photography, and used Portsdown for an office refit, we also have a good relationship with The Portsmouth News who are based at Lakeside.
Why Portsmouth?
Portsmouth is a young, vibrant city, and well-connected for travelling further afield for meetings. We are proud patrons of a not-for-profit organisation called Shaping Portsmouth that brings together businesses, educators and local government to promote the city as a place to work, study, live and visit. Our location has been great for recruitment – we are within in a large catchment area for recruiting local talent, including talent from near-by colleges and universities, University of Portsmouth, Southampton University, Solent University and the University of Chichester.
